Feed production, one of the cornerstones of the agriculture and livestock sector, becomes both efficient and sustainable with the right equipment. Especially for small and medium-sized producers, having information about the equipment required for feed production is of great importance for the efficiency of the production line and product quality. In this article, we have explained the equipment required for small-scale feed production and the features of this equipment.<\/span><\/p>

Raw Material Purchase and Preliminary Preparation Equipment<\/span><\/h2>

The first stage of feed production is the acceptance and preparation of raw materials to the plant.<\/span><\/p>

Raw Material Receiving and Control Unit<\/span><\/h3>

The raw material is brought to the factory site via special roads located outside the plant. This system ensures that hygiene is maintained during the transport process.<\/span><\/p>

Horizontal Silos and Powder Silos<\/span><\/h3>

Incoming raw materials are temporarily stored in horizontal silos and powder silos. Connection to the silos is provided by conveyor systems installed over a steel bridge.<\/span><\/p>

Polygon Sieve and Magnet<\/span><\/h3>

The raw materials are passed through a polygon screen and magnet before being transferred to the production line. This step ensures the separation of large pieces and metal contaminants.<\/span><\/p>

Weighing and Dosing Systems<\/span><\/h2>

Powder Transfer Unit<\/span><\/h3>

The raw materials stored in silos are weighed in the right proportions by powder transfer systems and included in the production. In these systems, flow is controlled by vibro motors.<\/span><\/p>

Microdosing System<\/span><\/h3>

Micro-additives usually come packaged and are manually discharged into microdosing silos. Automated systems make precise weighing according to the desired rations.<\/span><\/p>

Crushing, Mixing and Homogenisation<\/span><\/h2>

The most important steps that make up the structure of the feed are crushing and mixing;<\/span><\/p>

Crusher Mill<\/span><\/h3>

Raw materials are crushed in the crusher mill. The resulting dust is absorbed by the jet filter and prevented from spreading to the environment.<\/span><\/p>

Mixer<\/span><\/h3>

The crushed raw materials and additives are mixed homogenously with a mixer. Liquid additives are also included in the mixture at this stage.<\/span><\/p>

Pressing and Cooling Process<\/span><\/h2>

In this step, the feed starts to be finalised. In this step, the following products are included.<\/span><\/p>

Conditioner<\/span><\/h3>

The mixture is taken to the conditioner unit and optimised for production.<\/span><\/p>

Pellet Press<\/span><\/h3>

The feed is pelletised and compressed to the desired thickness and size. This ensures the final shaping of the product.<\/span><\/p>

Cooler<\/span><\/h3>

The hot product at the pellet press outlet is brought to the ideal temperature with the help of a cooler. The air released during cooling is purified by cyclone filter.<\/span><\/p>

After the products are produced as pellets or granules, they are cleaned from dust.<\/span><\/p>

Finished Product Silos and Shipment<\/span><\/h3>

Cleaned feeds are taken into finished product silos. Depending on the order, it is shipped in sacks or in bulk.<\/span><\/p>
